The Vault: The Living Solution for Your Photos, Keepsakes, and Mementos
I come across boxes of sentimental items on almost every organization job that I take on. This is one of my favorite parts of my job. Having the privilege to peek into the lives of my clients is a responsibility that I take very seriously and always with total confidentiality and respect for their privacy. I’m naturally curious and like most people, when I’m in someone else’s home, the photos of them with families and friends never fails to grab my attention. Early on in my organizing career, I couldn’t help but feel a little sad that so many of these special photos or keepsakes were often stuffed in a rapidly deteriorating cardboard box in their garage or closet. It’s funny how sometimes perfect solutions are often dropped right in front of you at the perfect time. Let me introduce you to my favorite neighbor EVER, Megan, and her ingenious little creation.
A little context would probably be appropriate to understand how this all came about. I bought my house in the midst of the COVID madness while almost simultaneously starting my business as an organizer. Megan is my “across the street” neighbor, the first of my neighbors to welcome me to the neighborhood, and would become my best friend in my neighborhood and a tireless supporter of both me and my business. When I launched Inspired Organizers, she became a constant source of marketing ideas, my promoter on our neighborhood Facebook group, and just an endless cheerleader. Megan and her wife Sarah are the kind of people who love with their whole hearts and always try to put the best energy out in the world in a time when we all desperately need that kind of spirit to be spread.
This context is important when it comes to explaining Megan’s “baby,” her passion project, The Vault. I always found the name appropriate because we generally associate the word with protection, security, and value, all things that we logically associate with the cherished memories of our photos and keepsakes. There are several versions of the product. The Paper Vault, Pocket Vault, and Original Vault are different designs that all stem from the same concept. There’s even a Pet Vault that can be used as a memory box as well as a storage container for your dearly departed pet’s urn.
The various Vault products range from a beautiful printed box with inserts that are perfect for photos, and small keepsakes and mementos to the sturdy metal Original Vault. Each product includes an array of meticulously designed storytelling cards, each serving as a gateway to a world of memories waiting to be explored. Not just a keepsake box, the Vault is the starting point for whimsical anecdotes, heartfelt confessions, and narratives that define us, allowing you to capture and preserve the essence of your journey through life.
Each of my customers gets a free paper vault with a full 8 hour session, and custom cards can be ordered on the Vault Website. If you’re ever wanted a storage box that is not only a beautiful display piece, but a vessel for telling the story of loved ones past and present, the Vault is the product that you’ve been looking for.
